Yesterday, Our Highwoods Helps program and our Wellness committee joined forces for an impactful Earth Day event in downtown Raleigh, where we collaborated on a street cleanup initiative. On Friday, Highwoods Tampa hosted its inaugural Highwoods Pickleball Tournament in support of charity. Players from our Commercial RE partners joined us for a day of spirited competition, all to benefit The Spring of Tampa Bay. The Spring is a local organization with a mission to prevent domestic violence, support victims, and foster positive change in lives, families, and communities. Thanks to the generous support and donations from CBRE, JLL, AiC Architecture, Savills, Franklin Street, and Cardinal Point , we successfully raised and contributed $6,200 to The Spring. When our Orlando team was asked by Legacy MedSearch to contribute to The Purple Gala, they did not hesitate and donated a gift basket that was auctioned off at the Purple Gala. This event brings together friends and supporters to celebrate and raise funds for critical research centered in finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects memory, thinking and behavior and affects nearly 7 million Americans. Research is essential to bring and end to this disease. Our Raleigh team was abuzz with energy this past month, partnering with 321 Coffee to provide an inclusive, gourmet coffee cart experience for our Customers. 321 Coffee is a coffee shop built on inclusion, employing 50+ adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to roast their coffee, take customer orders, even make and serve orders.
